We also fabricate backpans-metal sheets, galvanized steel or aluminum in some cases, that are attached and sealed to the curtain wall framing around the perimeter behind spandrel glass-in house. They provide excellent insulation, fire safety and sound absorption capabilities, as well as serve as the primary air/vapour control layer in ventilated spandrel curtain wall. The cavity of the back pan is filled with mineral wool (thickness varies as required) and pin welded to the backpan.
