The Bluewater Health project included 145,000 sq. ft. of renovated space to the main hospital and a 325,000 sq. ft. new addition. It includes sustainable features such as a green roof, a central atrium with glazing and sharing devices to realize passive solar gains, a high R-value building envelope, coordinated modular wall and furniture systems, and the establishment of strategic corporate partnerships. The project was Ontario’s first LEED certified acute care facility.
