West Park Healthcare Centre in Toronto brings together advanced rehabilitative care, specialized complex care, long-term care, primary care, and independent living opportunities in one location. Our team joined the project in a design assist capacity, providing unitized curtain wall, curtain wall strip windows, entrances, vestibules, and a triple-glazed curtain wall system in the pool area. This vast project had a contract value of $1.2 billion and included the construction of a new 730,000 sq. ft., six-storey hospital overlooking the Humber River Valley. The 27-acre campus will integrate rehabilitative healthcare with the natural environment by including terraces on every floor, outdoor therapeutic spaces, gardens, and trails. Incorporating green space and natural lighting with the hospital is proven to support the psychological and emotional well-being of patients and their families. West Park opened in 2023 and is targeting LEED® Silver certification.
