The 7-storey, 120,000 sq. ft. Western Interdisciplinary Research Building serves as the new home for the Brain and Mind Institute, BrainsCAN, and the Rotman Institute of Philosophy. It also provides five mixed-use general classroom spaces, dry laboratories, teaching and research space, public amenities and a public plaza. WIRB opened in the spring of 2018 and achieved LEED® Gold certification. EFI provided fabrication services for the curtain wall and doors.
