Mohawk College Learning Exchange – Fennell Campus Renewal

Location: Toronto, ON
Year Completed: 2011
Client: Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology
Construction Manager: EllisDon
Architects: B+H Architects

This 43,000 sq. ft., three-storey, colourful building includes an extensive amount of glass and high-performance glazing which was used in the design of a new front entrance, 10 classrooms, and an Electronic Learning Centre. The building footprint and extensive windows allow light to flow into the building and features a stainless steel inverted frameless glass curtainwall system. The laminated colored glass enclosure brings a rainbow-inspired overall hue on the upper level reflecting the inclusive and diverse student body of the college. These sustainable building practices helped the building to receive LEED® Gold certification.
